A few weeks back our friends at Rooftop Media hired us to join their team for a day to shoot a spoof movie trailer for MSN, ‘Swim for Love’. We all rallied down to an empty beach in Santa Cruz County, and shot some silly comedy scenes in unseasonably warm weather. We worked with a couple of great actors, one of which was none other than Gold Medalist, Olympic swimmer, Anthony Ervin. Anthony took a break from his full time training schedule for the upcoming London summer Olympics to don a wetsuit and whisper a few extra sappy sweet nothings into his co-star, Alicia’s, ear…. classic stuff.

The Rooftop team brought along an amazing cache of gear for us to use for the shoot, including a crane boom jib and a 10 x 10 ft silk, that helped us to get some of the best looking footage we’ve shot yet this year. I also shot some water footage with the GoPro of both of our fearless stars, and we managed to get some awesome stuff despite the river-like current and a decent sized winter swell, which local surf stand outs, Adam Replogle, Mike Santaella and Ryan Augustine, were taking full advantage of just in front of our set.

‘Swim for Love’ will be premiering on MSN during the first week of April, check back here for the link once it ‘drops’.
